10 oktober
Mental health concerns us all.
Gathering at 16.00. The light procession leaves at 16.25.

On 10 October we bring together people, organisations, companies, healthcare, research and initiatives at Sergels torg. Different experiences. Different perspectives. The same important question: how do we help more people feel well?
We need to talk more with one another.
Not only as experts, organisations or professional roles. As people.
#10oktober is meant to be a place where we meet, listen and get conversations about mental health and brain health going.
On the square you will find
For a society where more people feel well – where mental health is valued and prioritised as highly as physical health.

We create 10 oktober together.
Mental ill health does not only affect the person going through it. It affects families, friends, workplaces and, in the end, our whole society.
No one can do everything. But everyone can do something.
We do not expect you to have all the answers on how more people can feel better.
We are asking you to help us create the place where the conversations can begin.
A place where people, knowledge, experiences and different perspectives meet. Where new conversations, ideas and collaborations can grow.
Whether or not mental health and brain health are close to your operations, a society where more people feel well is something we all gain from.
Your support is decisive if we are to build the platform, reach more people and let 10 oktober grow, all year round and year after year.
Be part of it from the start.
Behind every number there is a person. Behind every face there is someone who loves, worries, hopes and keeps trying. Everyone is welcome.
Everyone is welcome. Come as you are. Come for someone you love. Come for yourself.
For some the sky is clear. For others the clouds are heavy. But none of us goes through life untouched by mental ill health, either directly or through someone we love.
That is why we gather at Sergels torg on 10 October 2026, on World Mental Health Day, for a shared day that ends with a procession of light through central Stockholm.
Our vision
We want 10 oktober to become more than one day a year. We want to build an organically growing movement for a society where more people feel well, and where mental health and brain health are given the same priority as physical health.
On 10 October every year we gather around a shared torchlight march. In Stockholm it begins at Sergels torg and continues with the march through the city. Our ambition is to grow nationally, with light manifestations in more places across Sweden and thousands of people returning year after year.
But the 10 oktober movement should live all year round – through events, initiatives and conversations tagged #10oktober, and through active partnerships and collaborations with people and organisations who share our ambition.
Mental health and brain health should be a self-evident part of public debate.
Lived experience should be taken seriously and seen as an asset.
Prevention and early support should be prioritised.
People should be met with respect, dignity and understanding.
Children and parents. Young and old. Women and men. Those who are struggling. Those who love someone who is struggling. Those standing alongside, not knowing what to do. Mental health and brain health concern us all.
Body and mind belong together. We human beings belong together. And we need to get better at taking care of both, and of each other. This is not political. It is about compassion. About meeting. Talking. Listening. Learning.
About understanding that we are different and need different things in order to feel well. On 10 October you can do something very simple. Come. Come on your own.
Bring your child. Your partner. Your friend. Your colleague. Your mother or father.
For us, 10 oktober is also about building something that can live on. The income from this year's event is therefore used both to carry out 10 oktober and to create the conditions for the day to return and grow.
Once this year's costs are covered and funds have been set aside for the continued work with 10 oktober, part of the remaining surplus will be donated to the Tim Bergling Foundation.

Everyone is welcome. The more of us there are, the stronger the light.
1,500 people. 1,500 lights. And hopefully many more.
